The Atlanta Braves are coming into this match up looking very strong, veteran Freddie Freeman has led by example and is looking to continue his 23 game hit streak in the match up tonight. Freeman had a single in the game last night and Ozzie Albies tagged on with his own home run to help the Braves top the Reds 3-1. Although the score sounds close, the Braves were in control the enter time and ended up stranding 12 runners on base. The Reds on the other hand continued their mediocre play by only tallying 5 hits and playing some sloppy defence which eventually cost them the game. I expect that tonight the Braves will stay hot and hopefully find a way to win the ball game.
My pick tonight is going to be the Atlanta Braves over the Cincinnati Reds. The starting pitchers are projected to be Julio Teheran (2-2, 5.16 ERA) for the Braves and Luis Castillo (2-1, 1.47 ERA) for the Reds. Teheran hasn’t gotten off to the hottest start this season however the Braves are 5-1 in their last 6 games against teams from the NL Central and 11-3 in there last 14 games facing an opponent with a winning percentage below .400. The Reds on the other hand are 3-10 in there last 13 games following a loss and were only able to string together 5 total hits in their game against the Braves last night.
