Our top 5 picks of the day 05/22/19
Welcome to the Beat the streak article. We would like to give you as much information as we can that will help you get your streak all the way up to 56 games so you can win the 5.6 million dollar grand prize. If you have never played BTS before we will leave the link down below so you can download and try it for yourself. It is free to play so why not take a stab at it and see how many of the free prizes you can win. For all new players, the concept of beat the streak is extremely simple. You are required to chose batters who register hits in their games and if they do not register a hit you lose your streak and restart at 0. Every night you can choose one or two players to register hits, if you chose 2 players, both are required to get hits or you lose your streak. It is free to play and has interactive prizes along the way, including MLB shop gift cards. For newer players rewards such as 10% discounts to the MLB shop or free entries into the world series draw are also given out for streaks of 5,10,15 etc. We highly reccomend that you try it yourself and see just how much fun it is.

Best 5 Plays of the day
#5 Daniel Vogelbach
When you’re hitting in Globe Life Park in Arlington you have a big advantage and it increases when you play a day game just like today. Vogelbach has hit 5 HRs in his last 7 games. With the weather in Texas I see him hitting a HR or two today. Jesse Chavez is opening today with Adrian Sampson pitching right behind him. Both pitchers are not very good and give up a lot of hits, should be a slugfest for the M’s today.
#4 Josh Reddick
Reddick has 0 strikeouts and 0 walks against Nova in 16 career at bats. He is 5 for 15 with a .313 AVG against Nova and has 1 single, 2 doubles and 2 HRs. On top of that Reddick is red hot as of late, hes batting .435 in his last 7 games and he’s hitting .301 vs righties this season. Ivan Nova has allowed 69 hits in 47 and a third innings this season and has allowed 8 or more hits in 5 of his 6 last starts. As usual he continues to struggle against left handers, they’re hitting .382 off him this season and he has surrendered 10 HRs in his last 5 starts.
#3 Josh Bell
Jon Gray has allowed HR(s) in 8 of his 9 starts this season. Tonight he faces a weaker Pirates lineup but I believe Josh Bell is the biggest threat to hit a HR for them tonight as he has been hitting very well this season. He is being overshadowed by some other stars this season but Bell has only 1 back to back 0 fer game this season. Bell is hitting .350 off Righties and Gray is the perfect match-up for him today. Gray’s fastball averages 95.6 mph, and Bell’s avg exit velocity is 95.8 mph so combining these two statistics leaves us with a 52% hard contact rate, which means that there is a good chance Bell cranks one off of Gray tonight.
#2 Miguel Cabrera (Miggy)
Miggy is hitting .364 at home and .282 vs righties. He had a day off on the 15th and since then he has been hitting .462 at home games. Some more food for thought is that righties are hitting .294 off Urena and Urena has allowed 60 hits in 52 innings this season. With Miggy hitting very well at home and Urena struggling against righties Miggy should get a hit today, and if he doesn’t register a hit against Urena, he can get a hit off the Marlins horrible bullpen.
Now onto the #1 pick for today in my opinion. Drumroll please 🥁
#1 Gary Sanchez
Gary Sanchez is locked and loaded right now and is ready to smash the ball again today. Gary has hit a HR in 2 straight games, registered a hit in 7 of 8 games against the O’s this season, and is hitting .308 in the last 7 days. Looking at who he faces on the mound, Dan Straily is noone to worry about….righties are hitting .394 off Straily this season, he has allowed a HR in 3 straight games and Sanchez is 1 for 1 against him this season with a 2 run HR. Straily has also allowed 44 hits in 30 innings pitched this season. We don’t think Straily will last long in this game and don’t get us started on the O’s bullpen, they are beyond terrible. Everyone is missing out if you don’t pick Sanchez tonight
